JOINING PWP/VALLEY FORGE
Single parents who are divorced, separated, or widowed, and those who have never married are eligible to join PWP.
Prospective members of PWP are required to attend an Orientation before they may join the organization. PWP strictly enforces the rule that all members must be verified both as single and as parents of one or more living children. Neither age nor custody of children is a factor for PWP membership. The Valley Forge Chapter #214 holds bi-monthly orientation meetings for single parents interested in joining.
New members are invited to participate in a three-part Newcomers Series entitled "Adjusting to Single Life."
Proof of current PWP membership (a valid membership card, or provisional or renewal membership receipt) is required to attend most PWP functions. Exceptions to this rule include the monthly Special Events/General Membership Meeting and occasional other "OPEN" events at which nonmembers are welcome.
Annual dues are
$45.00 and include subscriptions to the Chapter Newsletter and PWP Single Parent Journal. Subscriptions to the Newsletter alone are available at $20.00 for 12 issues. Cost of a single issue is $2.00.
